Big Sean sat down with Zane Lowe today on Beats 1 to do the new album promo dance. After playing the new album I Decided for Zane, Sean spoke on breaking through with his previous LP Dark Sky Paradise, selling his house and the custom studio it housed and how he began to reach his full potential. The majority of the conversation is about the album and they go through it track-by-track as Sean speaks on building with Rick Rubin and Kanye West and working with Eminem and Andre 3000, (although he says the 3-Stacks collab won’t appear on the project).
“I have a mic that is outside the booth to catch all my references and that’s how I come up with most of my music.” @BigSean #B1xBigSean pic.twitter.com/9oaedaNUHh— Beats 1 (@Beats1) January 18, 2017
“When I heard [@Eminem’s] verse, I played it back over and over again. I think I was just sitting in the studio [in shock].” #B1xBigSean pic.twitter.com/XMrwUu3h0p— Beats 1 (@Beats1) January 18, 2017
“Rick Rubin, I got a chance to play it for. Andre 3000 came to my house & we went through it.” @BigSean #B1xBigSean https://t.co/rAPwDbsSan pic.twitter.com/T04XHmONjC— Beats 1 (@Beats1) January 18, 2017
