Drake Previews New Song in Amsterdam

Recently at his Boy Meets World Tour, in Amsterdam, Drake previewed a very aggressive sounding new track that will presumably appear on his upcoming More Life playlist project with Apple Music. It certainly sounds like there are some shots coming at somebody on this verse before it cuts off.

I’ve always considered Fredo to be one of the more consistent artists to emerge from the Chicago drill explosion, so any new work from him is always appreciated. He’s got a couple of appearances from Chief Keef, who’s going through it at the moment, including “My Pistol Make Ya Famous” which dropped last week.

Big Sean sat down with Zane Lowe today on Beats 1 to do the new album promo dance. After playing the new album I Decided for Zane, Sean spoke on breaking through with his previous LP Dark Sky Paradise, selling his house and the custom studio it housed and how he began to reach his full potential. The majority of the conversation is about the album and they go through it track-by-track as Sean speaks on building with Rick Rubin and Kanye West and working with Eminem and Andre 3000, (although he says the 3-Stacks collab won’t appear on the project).

The Cool Kids Tease Sketch Comedy Series The Sh*t Show

The reunification of The Cool Kids was one of the most welcome developments in 2016 Rap, but as it turns out, Chuck and Mikey have more than just a new album up their sleeves. Last night, the pair revealed a trailer to a new sketch comedy series called The Sh*t Show that they’ve been working on in conjunction with director Jimmy Regular. Check out the teaser below which features a clip of Mikey in character as a Ron Burgundy-esqe newscaster named Lance Bingemton, and stay tuned for a premiere date.

TaxStone Arrested in Connection with Irving Plaza Shooting

Well known Brooklyn-based podcast host TaxStone has reportedly been arrested in connection with the May 2016 shooting incident at Irving Plaza which saw Troy Ave’s friend Ronald McPhatter shot dead and the rapper himself severely injured. According to NBC News, Tax was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals, the New York & New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the NYPD on federal charges of firearms possession, and for questioning by the NYPD for his involvement in the incidents that lead up to the shooting. Troy himself was arrested following the incident and is currently fighting a number of related charges.
