A young man is lead horribly astray by A$ton Matthews in his new video for “Coldest Night In Hell” off the upcoming Chapovelli project. The song was inspired by the wave of gang violence that enveloped LA last Summer and was dubbed “100 Days, 100 Nights” because of threats made across social media. “I myself have lived this life so I don’t disavow what it is and what it means, but I also know that it has its realities that not everyone is prepared for, or should be a part of. This is just a glimpse of the hell we live in,” Matthews explained to Complex about the visual.

Check out a trailer for the new documentary 808 which will explore the legacy of the iconic Roland TR-808 drum machine and its influence on music. The film is narrated by Zane Lowe and features appearances from a number of musical luminaries including Pharrell Williams, Afrika Bambaataa, ?uestlove, Rick Rubin, Hank Shocklee and several others. The music geek in me is here for every second of this. In addition to the film, which premieres on December 9th on Apple Music, there will be an accompanying soundtrack out on November 25th.
