Joe Budden – Making A Murderer Pt. 1 (Drake Diss)

“Either Jimmy acting or he really miss a wheelchair”

So we finally do get a diss track Joe. Over last few weeks, Joe Budden has analyzed the Drake took shots at him in the “4PM in Calabasas” freestyle. He explained in detail on a recent episode of his podcast about which lines he feels were directed at him and why. Some of them sound possible, and some of them sound like a reach on Joey’s part to be honest.

Drake then decides to say  “Pump It Up” in an Instagram video posted by French Montana as a teaser of an upcoming collab for the MC4 album. So maybe Drake was sending shots? Or maybe he’s savvy enough to know how to bait Joe, and the internet, into playing them(our)selves? Whatever the case, Joe has now responded with a new cut called “Making A Murderer Pt. 1”.

He also sends a few shots Meek's way, after the two sparred indirectly on twitter & Instagram over some comments Joe made about him and Nicki. This beef seems kind of petty but ...f*ck it.

DMX Interview on The Breakfast Club

Out of all rappers or celebrities that are interviews, i must say DMX's are the ones i get locked on to the most. This latest visit to The Breakfast Club is no different. He talks about the new found respect he has for Drake after the 6 God reached out to clear an X sample for his new album, despite the harsh words X had for him during a 2012 visit to Power 105. He gets really emotional and has to rise out of his seat when discussing his near death experience in a Yonkers motel room last year. He also reveals that he’s currently expecting his 15th child. Nia Long Talks Rap Lyric References by ATCQ, J.Cole

Nia Long, a muse to many rappers over the past 2 decades and regular folks like me, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and Jimmy asked her about a number of the references artists have made to her in lyrics over the years. They discuss the late Phife Dawg’s line on “Steve Biko (Stir It Up),” J. Cole’s more recent reference on “No Role Modelz,” and of course the classic lyric by Horse of The Bravehearts on Nas’ “Oochie Wally.” Incidentally, she says she went out and bought a cherry thong after hearing that last one, and it ended up helping her land her husband. So blame Nas and Horse for Nia not being single.

20 Years Of 'Reasonable Doubt'

Words by Mo Lavelanet

On this day, 20 years ago the first rap album I ever purchased was released and it changed my life more than i would have ever expected. At only 6 years of age, i felt i was a bit more detailed then others and rather quiet than most. I understood things I wasn’t supposed to but made me feel more complex in the way, I thought. The story behind Reasonable Doubt grew on me as I got older, I understood the meanings behind each bar and verse better after each listen in my opinion it became not only my first album, but my favorite album by my favorite rapper of all time.

I want to add that i'm touching on the tracks that i felt i related with most (which is all but for the sake up my lazy ass typing, just a few).
