Troy Ave and Joey Bada$$ got into it on Twitter back and forth last Summer over whether or not Joey could realistically be called an indie artist due to his label’s ties to Sony Red. The beef had mostly died down until last week when Joey sent a shot at Troy on his new single “Ready.”
Now Troy sends shots back with a new diss track called “Bad Ass,” which you can check out below.

Royce Da 5’9 just announced a new solo album called Layers. The project, his first solo outing since he dropped Success Is Certain back in 2011, will be executive produced by Mr. Porter and Royce himself. To build some buzz around the album, Royce just dropped this “Layers” acapella freestyle which he bodies, naturally. Watch above and look for Layers to arrive on April 15th.

London producer teams up with Buffalo’s Westside Gunn for the new Roses Are Red..So Is Blood EP. The 7-track project features guest appearances from Conway, Roc Marciano, Mach Hommy and Keisha Plum, and is available to stream and download for free over at Bandcamp.

Guests include Chance The Rapper, Young Thug, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Swizz Beatz, Kid CuDi, Ty Dolla $ign, Post Malone, Vic Mensa, The-Dream, Frank Ocean and GOOD Music’s most recent signing, Brookln artist Desiigner.
If you attended the MSG event or watched the live stream, and have stayed abreast of Ye’s last few GOOD Fridays drops, then you’ve already heard a good portion of the album. A few tracks have been added since Thursday, and now we get to pour over the full project, sequenced as Yeezus intended.
